Leo Rautins to be replaced by Alvin Williams on Raptors broadcasts for Sportsnet

There will be a new look on half the Raptors television broadcasts this season.

Leo Rautins, who has been part of the team’s broadcast crew since 1995, will be replaced by former Raptors point guard Alvin Williams on 41 games shown on Sportsnet, the team announced Thursday.

Matt Devlin will return as the play-by-play voice for all 82 games – 41 on Sportsnet and 41 on TSN — and Jack Armstrong returns as the TSN analyst.

Rautins worked games with Sportsnet and as part of the TSN studio show in recent years; there is no indication of whether he will return to TSN in any role.

Sportsnet announced its full broadcast lineup that will include Amy Audibert taking over as the sideline reporter for TV games with Brad Fay working with Sherman Hamilton and Danielle Michaud on pre-game and halftime shows.

TSN’s release did not lay out any specific announcer plans.

Eric Smith and Paul Jones will do 41 games on radio for Sportsnet; TSN did not announce its radio crews.

The Raptors begin the regular season back in Toronto on Oct. 21.
