15-year-old boy dead, and 6 teens injured, two critically, in overnight crash in Brock Township

A 15-year-old boy has died and six other teens are in hospital with injuries following a single-vehicle collision in Brock Township overnight. Two teens are in critical condition.

Emergency crews were called to the scene about 100 kilometres northeast of Toronto, at about 12:40 a.m. on Sunday.

Police say a grey 2006 Chevrolet Sierra pickup truck was southbound on Sideline Road 18 near Concession Road 9, when it left the road and rolled into a ditch.

There were seven teens between the ages of 15 and 17 in the truck, which was driven by a 16-year old girl from Sunderland.

Four of the occupants in the vehicle were ejected in the rollover. A 15-year-old boy was fatally injured and the other six teens were taken to local hospitals, then airlifted to Toronto trauma centres.

Police say two are listed in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon, while the other four are in serious but stable condition.
