Twitter Reacts As India Clinch Series Win With 6-Wicket Victory Over Australia In Thrilling 3rd T20I In Hyderabad

The third and final match of the three-match T20I series between Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and Aaron Finch-led Australia National Cricket Team was played on Sunday, September 25, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.

India National Cricket Team won the thrilling encounter by 6 wickets to clinch the series victory by 2-1 against Australia National Cricket Team.

Earlier, India National Cricket Team won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. The Men In Blue made just one change to the playing XI as pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar replaced wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. The Aussies also made one change to the playing XI as Josh Inglis replaced Sean Abbott.

Young all-rounder Cameron Green provided Australia with an exceptional start in the match. After the first four overs, Australia were at 56/1 with Finch getting dismissed by Axar Patel for 7.

After that, the Indian bowlers made a terrific comeback in the match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed dangerous Cameron Green, who smashed 52 runs off 21 balls, including 7 four and 3 sixes, and Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed Steve Smith for 9. Left-arm spinner Axar Patel ran Glenn Maxwell out with a superb throw as well as picked the wickets of Josh Inglis and in-form Matthew Wade to finish his spell with the figures of 4-0-33-3.

In the end, Tim David and Daniel Sams played brilliant knocks to shift the momentum back towards the Kangaroos. Tim David smashed 54 runs off 27 balls, including 2 fours and 4 sixes, and Daniel Sams scored 28 runs off 20 balls, including one four and 2 sixes, to help Australia post 186/7 on the board.

Chasing the target, the opening duo of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma failed to provide India with a good start. The former was dismissed for 1 in the first over and the latter was cleaned up in the 4th over. At the end of the powerplay, the Men In Blue were at 50/2.

India’s highest-ranked T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav and modern-day batting great Virat Kohli had a wonderful partnership in the middle overs as they added 104 runs in 62 balls. Suryakumar Yadav got out in the 14th over after smashing terrific 69 runs off 36 balls, including 5 fours and 5 sixes. Virat Kohli scored good 63 runs off 48 balls, including 3 fours and 4 sixes, before getting out in the final over.

In the end, Hardik Pandya’s sensational power-hitting helped India win the match and clinch the series by 2-1. The star all-rounder smashed 25 runs off 16 balls, including 2 fours and 1 six.
