Ahead of the second Test, a shocking incident took place around 1 km away from the team hotel of the England team as two rival gangs clashed with each other and gunshots were fired.
Fortunately, there has not been any security breach and all the players are safe in Pakistan. Reportedly, England have received the presidential level of security for the ongoing tour of Pakistan. Also, Pakistan police have made four arrests in the wake of the incident.
“Gunshots heard 1km from England’s team hotel this morning in Multan. Two rival gangs, it seems. Four arrests made, and no one injured. The team’s security plans remain unaffected before tomorrow’s second Test against Pakistan,” a British journalist tweeted.

England Include Mark Wood In XI For 2nd Test
England National Cricket Team express pacer Mark Wood has been included in the playing XI for the second Test as a replacement for all-rounder Liam Livingstone.
Liam Livingstone made his Test debut in the first Test match of the series in Rawalpindi. He didn’t take part in the match after Day 2 when he picked up a knee injury on the boundary line and he has been ruled out of the entire series.
Meanwhile, express pacer Mark Wood replacing Livingstone in the XI is the only change from the side that won the first Test, which means there is no place for Ben Foakes, who missed the first game due to illness.
