Engie is a French multinational utility company which will help Michelin decarbonise Cataroux site.

French tyre maker Michelin has chosen Engie to optimise energy consumption at its Cataroux site in Clermont-Ferrand, the French energy group said on Friday.

In addition to utilities management, the 10-year contract provides for the design and operation of new energy facilities and the installation of a waste heat recovery system, Engie said in a statement.

These tyres will be supplied for 150 e-buses that are being manufactured by Tata Motors for Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST).

The tyre maker, whose previous targets included annual growth of more than 5%, said it was targeting to grow faster than the market and kept its goal for a dividend above 50% of net earnings.
